Cadbury Creme Eggs: Yes they are smaller
April 9th, 2007 by alienmeatsackI thought this was funny. It seems that the wonderful Cadbury Creme Eggs that we all know and love around that holiday in April have indeed shrunk. The company who makes them denies it but it’s true.

As you can see from this clip from Conan, the newer egg, on the right, is indeed smaller. About 15% smaller actually.
And yet they cost the same amount of money. Hmm… what gives here?
Here is a Video clip from Conan showing the 2 egg sizes.

Maybe it’s just me but that looks like Conan is pulling a fast one. Notice the egg on the right is actually further back on the desk than the one on the left. I’m not denying they might be smaller, but I don’t think they are 15% smaller.

They are 15% smaller, I looked it up. At least according to the Wiki on them, the newer ones are manufactured by Hershey and are smaller.
Maybe they are richer, I dunno. But I’m going to sue them for $.01 for doing this to my beloved candy. That I have not eaten in 2 years.
