Yesterday on my way home from work, traffic on the highway I take was pretty much stop and go. We hit 10mph at one point for a short stint.

Finally, I got just past the West side of Lewis off Highway 44 and noticed what was going on. The entire East bound lane was shut down with cops, ambulances, firetrucks, etc everywhere. Of course, our lane which is seperated from the East lane was going 10 MPH because the assholes ahead of me had to see what was going on. Fucking idiots.

But they were not the biggest idiot at this frenzy. That award goes to a man who tried to cross the highway. That’s right, Mr. Darwin tried to cross 4 lanes of 60+ MPH traffic at rush hour.

The guy died, obviously. I feel sorry for the guy in the moving van who hit him. He could not have avoided the moron and is probably going to live the rest of his life knowing he killed a man. Even if it was the idiots fault for crossing.

The moral to this story is, if you like your life… Don’t cross a highway on foot. Sadly, he could have walked 40 feet to the East and crossed on a sidewalk overpass.
