Eating Shit for Breakfast 101

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Hey freakoids.

How’s tricks? Me, been having a rough couple of weeks so I’ve not poasted much.

I do have a shit load of hotties to poast, but will hold off until TD and I can work out a solution to the leecher assholes who link to my content and use my bandwidth. One solution I am thinking of involves you having to be a registered user to get to teh actual pics if they are located past a “More” tag. Another involves looking at the http thingie that tells where the call is being made from and locking out leechers.

I do seriously have a shitload, like over 1000 pics, all HOT and gorgeous chicks, some kissing too. Oh well, thank the jerks for making you not get to see them.

Well, that is it for now. Of course, more of you could join and post good content. And then we’d have more stuff here. But you aren’t. So it’s mostly just me. Running off at the mouth.

Spewing words instead of beers.

Mondays are teh suck!

Case of the Mondays

On my personal blog, I ranted A LOT about Mondays and how much I hate them.

And now that hoopee has become my new place to fire off random turds of words, I shall also complain here too.

But, what I really want to know is, why do Monday suck? Today is payday, and that does not suck. And, well, aside from the weekend being over, this just means another weekend is coming up. That has to be good right?

So someone please tell me why Mondays are so shitty?

Wow. So much has changed. So much is the same

AMS-

A quick perusal of the new hoopee reveals a primate getting a hummer,  some beer-swilling nazis I wouldn’t mind slipping a schnitzel to,  Spalding, and goth lesbian action. Yet you took all this usual stuff and presented it in a new, high-energy format. It pulls my pants down and taunts me. Nice going sugar britches!

Still pwning Heaven and Hell

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

Just got back from seeing “Heaven and Hell” (Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio belting it out) and I have to say, for a group of guys that are nearly my parents age, they’re still rockin’ with their cocks out. A great show by any measure. My only complaint is that they didn’t play any old stuff from the Ozzy days. No Paranoid, War Pigs or Iron Man, but they nailed the stuff off of Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules.

I was swilling pints for the 1st opening act, but caught the full set of Megadeth. While seeing Black Sabbath was great, Megadeth showed that they still do what they do best — grab you by the nuts and give ‘em a hearty yank. To me it wasn’t an opening act and a main show, it was a double billing. I was banging my head with the mob when they started the opening riff of “Symphony of Destruction” and didn’t stop until they left the stage.

What really surprised me was the age range not only in the arena as a whole, but just in the section I was in. Behind us were a group of about 6 who were between 40 and 50. A group of (maybe) 20-somethings were in front of us, and to the right were 2 girls gyrating who couldn’t have been more than 18 (I’m a dirty, dirty, dirty old man). It was cool to see the mix of the “original” fans all the way to the total n00bs who weren’t even born when the albums came out. It definately made for interesting conversation in the beer line.

If you get a chance to see this show in your town, and you remotely like this style of music, grab a ticket. This is likely the last tour for this version of Sabbath, and you’ll kick yourself if you don’t go. Honestly, it’s the price of an average night at the bar, and you’ll probably see just as much skin … though there’s a good chance the skin you see will be someone your mom went to school with.

HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray: ARGH

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

This whole high def video thing is making me really angry. When HD-DVD first came out, I thought maybe it would win the war. I mean, they did have Serenity exclusively right? And the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player was only $200. That should be enough. But it wasn’t. Blu-Ray is now kicking the shit out of HD-DVD.

Why? Well, first off, HD-DVD is about 10% new releases, 90% old crap no one gives a flying fuck about. Whereas BR is the complete opposite, 90% new releases (and most of them exclusives) and 10% old shit.

The last 4 new movies I wanted were ALL BR exclusive. Fuckfish!

  • The Prestige
  • Mario Antionette
  • Stranger Than Fiction
  • Casino Royale (with Cheese)

I ended up getting the regular SD editions of STF and MA, borrowed the SD-DVD of The Prestige, and will end up with the SD-DVD of Casino Royale too. Very disappointing to me. I knew this would happen. But still… it sucks. Because Sony has just enough big new movies in their pockets that they PWN me.

What are my options here? Buy a PS3 for $600? I don’t need yet another console, I already have a 360 and Wii and not enough places to connect all of these things as it stands. Or I could buy a BR Player standalone for $900? Take it up the ass while HD-DVD disappoints me over and over? Someone on another forum I frequent found a refurbished BR player for just over $300. I could maybe spend $300. But even then, that’s a lot of beers. All to watch a few movies? Is it really worth it?

And then, to make things worse, I look at upcomming new releases on HD-DVD and BR and see that about 75% of the ones I want are BR only, once again.

So what’s a guy to do? Spend the money, bite my tongue, and just deal with it? Or do I stand up for myself and say NO to BR? I did get into the LaserDisc thing, spending $500 on my player. It was the very lowest of low-end Pioneer players, did not even have S-Video or AC3 out nor did it play both sides automatically. And then I plopped down $30-75 a piece for movies,. Many times these were not even movies worth watching. But, I did it for the digital quality non-degrading picture. And for the fact that I could score letterbox movies. (DIE PAN & SCAN YOU BASTARD!) But still, I am having a hard time deciding on whether or not to spend the money on BR.

When I started my HD-DVD collection, I bought movies as they came out that I really wanted. Then, when the Xbox 360 player came out, I got it and could finally watch the movies. So, I could do that again with BR, waiting for just the right deal on a player. And if I could score a $300-$350 refurbished player (new is better but I take what I can get), that would be much less of a wallet cruncher than the other option… $600 for a PS3, that would suck away my money for games too.

So here I sit, thinking, wondering, wishing, wanting. In a perfect world, there is only one HD format for DVDs. In a perfect world, all my fave shows and movies are on that format. In a perfect world, they are the same price as SD-DVDs.

But this is not a perfect world. Or a perfect party… and HD-DVD is being shown the door by BR, with Sony smirking happily. They may have totally fucked up the PS3, but they got BR right it seems. And that is something.
