For those of you who use DirecTV for your TV service, you undoubtedly know that they are moving towards the HD era.

The first new satellite launched successfully a few days ago. The 2nd is due later in the year.

But, the biggest news is that SEPTEMBER is the big launch window for many new channels.

Confirmed new HD channels for September currently include:

• History Channel HD
• A&E HD
• Discovery Channel HD
• Animal Planet HD
• TLC HD
• Science Channel HD
• Starz HD (this includes East/West coast feeds plus 3 new channels, Starz Edge, Starz Comedy as well as  Starz Kids & Family)
• HBO HD (includes all their channels)
• MAX HD

And more is coming. But, these are all specifically listed as coming in Sept. Woot!
