Shaving with butter?

I was thinking about this earlier today… Is it possible to use butter as a shave lubricant? Or perhaps margarine/similar?

Would it be too messy and hard to clean up, and/or make you breakout? I got obsessed with the idea and even thought about trying it for kicks.

I dunno why.
